O'Mandalas by St. Nichiren
[1222-1282]

Gohonzon Mandala inscribed by Nichiren for Nichimoku
at Mt. Minobu in February 1279 and is currently housed at Kuwana.
The lower left side transmittal inscription reads: "Son of Shakya Nichimoku."

Comments from Robin's Nest: An astute observer might notice that the usual positions of Aizen & Fudo are reversed. Also, it does appear to bear the gain/loss inscriptions, as alleged by the Late Taisekiji Chief Priest Nittatsu Shonin, but not in the prominent position as seen in Nichiren Shoshu style Gohonzons.
